John and Dasia Abromovich are missionaries in Poland, who we have supported for many years.\u00a0\u00a0 The Abramovich’s work\u00a0 with youth groups, leading Bible Studies and organizing camps.\u00a0 John is from the area (Runnemede, NJ), and both of them have visited PUMC on many occasions.\u00a0 John has been having some health issues which will prevent them from making their usual visit home this year, but they are actively continuing their ministry.\u00a0 <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Dear Prayer Partners,<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you for praying for us, our ministry, and the people in Poland. We trust that you had a wonderful Christmas celebration and wish you God\u2019s blessings for the New Year 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dasia & John Abramovich at PUMC (4\/8\/14)<\/p><\/div>\n

Some of our postal mail that we sent in December was not yet delivered, and it probably won\u2019t be. This may include some of our December newsletters. If you or your church did not get our December Ministry newsletter, please let us know and we will resend it be e-mail.<\/span><\/p>\n

At John\u2019s eye examination in December, the pressure in his left eye was still high, but lower than before. The surgeon does not want to do any more surgery because the additional trauma on the eye may cause blindness. The doctors think that John can live with the higher pressure, and time and medication may help. His next examination is on January 26. We think that it is also time to correct his vision as much as possible with new glasses.<\/span><\/p>\n

With still the uncertainty about John\u2019s eyes, we cannot make any definite plans to travel to the USA. We would like to visit our supporting churches, individual supporters, and family in the springtime, but we don\u2019t know if this will be possible. Please bear with us and pray for us. Pray for the situation with John\u2019s eyes and for us to deal with the stress of uncertainty.<\/span><\/p>\n

John will speak and Dasia will translate on Saturday, January 21 at Elim evangelistic meeting for people suffering with alcoholic addiction and dependence and for recovering alcoholics. Please pray for us, the Elim staff, and the entire weekend of meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n

We continue with our regular weekly and monthly ministry meetings. Over the Christmas holiday we also met quite a few individuals with who we would like to meet on a regular basis. We want to encourage some of them to get involved in ministering in their church and community.<\/span><\/p>\n
