Our Youth Group (BLAST (Big Loud Awesome Spiritual Time) announced several activities highlighting their summer schedule.\u00a0 Here’s a heads up of what’s happening in the next couple of months…<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sunday June 26…<\/span><\/h4>\n

BLAST will lead both services on June 26.\u00a0 Members will lead the music and all parts of the worship service (including the sermon).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\n

Wednesday, July 6<\/span><\/h4>\n

We’ll’ meet up with our friends at the Aldine UMC and have a cookout and a “blast” on an inflatable waterslide!\u00a0 This will start at 5PM.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, July 27<\/span><\/h4>\n

Back in December<\/a> we visited the New Visions Day Shelter and served breakfast to their guests.\u00a0 It was such a great experience for everyone involved that we’re doing it again.\u00a0 Check it Out!<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

BLAST will be returning to New Visions Day Shelter to serve breakfast to approximately 75-100 guests. Youth are needed to cook, bake, wash, and prepare\u00a0plates of pancakes, sausage links and bananas, as well as coffee and orange juice to be served to the homeless in the community. Please arrive at the church at 7:45 AM.<\/p>\n

We will leave Pitman UMC at 8 AM to arrive at New Visions at 8:30 AM to prepare breakfast.\u00a0\u00a0 We will then head back to Pitman UMC for lunch and Water Balloon Olympics.<\/p>\n

Wednesday August 17<\/del>\u00a0 August 24
\n<\/span><\/h4>\n

BLAST will be spending the day at Ocean City for a day of relaxation and fun. Meet at the church at 9:30 AM and expect to arrive back to PUMC around 5 PM.<\/p>\n

\n

Tuesday August 30<\/span><\/h4>\n

BLAST will visit the local schools of PUMC for a time of prayer at the flagpoles to pray for the upcoming school year. We will then head down to the Cape May County Zoo for the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Meet at PUMC at 9:30 AM. We will return to PUMC around 5 PM.<\/p>\n

And last but not least…. Malaga Camp!<\/span><\/h3>\n

During the summer, we’ll have three opportunities to spend a week at Malaga camp.\u00a0 Several overnight camps for our age group are offered:<\/p>\n

  1. Aug. 7-14:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sports Camp<\/li>\n
  2. July 31 – Aug. 6:\u00a0 Music Art and Drama (MAD) Camp<\/li>\n
  3. July 17-23:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Middler Senior Week<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
