Volunteer workers, and donations of food and money help the Pitman Pantry satisfy the requests for food. Broadway Pitman NJ 08071<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">Phone<\/span><\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 856- 589-8588 (Answered ONLY during opening hours)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">If You Need Help&#8230;<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you&#8217;re in need of\u00a0assistance, simply come on over during operating hours (see above).\u00a0 The pantry is located at the rear of the Baptist Church; enter via the walkway at the back of the parking lot.\u00a0 You may visit the Pantry once per week. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4559 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Pantry-Baptist-Church-Entry-Sidewalk-Text-_IMG_1171-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Pantry-Baptist-Church-Entry-Sidewalk-Text-_IMG_1171-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Pantry-Baptist-Church-Entry-Sidewalk-Text-_IMG_1171.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you arrive, we will ask for identification and proof of residence.\u00a0 \u201cOfficially,\u201d the Pantry is reserved only for Pitman Residents, but nobody will be turned away!\u00a0 All personal information will be held in strict confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors will usually be given two bags of non-perishable food (the quantity depending on family size).\u00a0 One bag contains breakfast\/lunch items and the second is geared for dinners.\u00a0 The bags contain items such as Peanut butter, Jams, cereal, juice, tuna, pasta &amp; sauce, macaroni &amp; cheese, soup, etc.\u00a0 If needed, \u201cpersonal care\u201d items such as toothpaste, soap and shampoo, etc are available.\u00a0 The Pantry is supported by a large base of donors, but the contents of the bags depends on what has been donated that week.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the perishable items, a \u201ccold bag\u201d is also given.\u00a0 This bag contains items such as meat (usually a frozen chicken), and it sometimes contains other foods such as cheese, eggs, etc.\u00a0 When available, fresh fruit is also included.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><div class='et-box et-info'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='et-box-content'><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u201cTechnically\u201d, the Pitman Pantry is open only to Pitman Residents.\u00a0 BUT\u2014<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">NOBODY WILL BE TURNED AWAY!!!<\/span><\/span>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">For continual needs, if you&#8217;re not a Pitman resident, the pantry can help you to find a pantry in your community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For more information, visit:<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/foodbanksj.org\/food-resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/foodbanksj.org\/food-resources<\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">If You Want to Help&#8230;<\/span><\/h3>\n<p align=\"justify\">Many volunteer hours are required each week to inventory, shop, stock shelves, pack, and distribute food; and additionally, of course, complete the paperwork required by government agencies. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-16954 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/BlastFall17-Pantry-_fb_5582970895174401167_n-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"155\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/BlastFall17-Pantry-_fb_5582970895174401167_n-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/BlastFall17-Pantry-_fb_5582970895174401167_n.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 207px) 100vw, 207px\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>PUMC volunteers work<\/strong> at the Pantry <strong>on odd dated Tuesdays<\/strong>\u00a0from <strong>5:30 to 7:00 PM<\/strong>.\u00a0 The volunteers of the Pitman Pantry are grateful to our congregations and to the community for their continued support and for their prayers. Our special thanks to our young people, who work so hard serving others.
