KNOW, Grow, and Go…<\/span><\/h2>\n

The German language has two words for the English word “Know”:\u00a0 Wissen and Kennen.\u00a0 Wissen is when we know the facts about someone.\u00a0 Kennen is when we have a personal relationship with someone.\u00a0 Our goal is to have a personal relationship with Christ… to “Know” (“Kennen”) Him.<\/span><\/p>\n

But in order to get to that point, we do need to learn the Bible and to have some “head knowledge” about Him..\u00a0 We need to “wissen” Him by studying the Bible.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

A big part of what we do at Pitman United Methodist Church is directed towards growing in knowledge about Christ and\u00a0 about the ways of God.\u00a0 We need to not only study the Bible with our hearts (open to change) but also with our heads (thirsty for understanding).<\/span><\/p>\n

The activities under this menu describe the activities that we’re doing to help each other gain that knowledge.<\/p>\n
