Youth Group<\/span><\/h1>\n

The name “Youth Group” might sound kinda plain on the surface, but there’s so much behind our “Youth Group programs.”\u00a0 Mix a group of friends with inspired and energetic leaders, and you’ve got something special!\u00a0 We’re actively engaging with three goals:<\/span><\/em>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Mission.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong> We serve meals to the homeless, help with the Pitman Pantry, and do what we can to make a difference in the lives of the people around us.\n

    <\/span><\/li>\n

  2. Learning.<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0 Christian growth takes some time and effort (Paul told the Philippians to “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling…”).\u00a0 And so we have Bible Studies, go on retreats, and do other things to help us grow as a group and as individuals in our faith.\n

    <\/span><\/li>\n

  3. Fun!<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 And, we get together to just have fun.\u00a0 We kayak, swim, and maybe even throw some snowballs!\u00a0 And- we always take any opportunity to enjoy a (un)healthy dose of snacks along the way!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Our Youth Group regularly meets between 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Sunday evenings (between mid-September and June).\u00a0 When we meet, we separate Jr and Sr highs for devotions, but we get the groups back together for activities and fun. We always end the night with a snack provided by one of our parents, too!<\/span><\/p>\n

    Any youth between sixth and twelfth grade are invited to come to all activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Some things to look forward to throughout the year\u00a0 include,\u00a0 our\u00a0 annual Cardboard Duct Tape Boat Race, our very own trunk for Trunk or\u00a0Treat<\/a><\/span>, a White Elephant Christmas Party, a progressive dinner, our weekend trip to Winter\u00a0Thaw<\/a><\/span>, mission\u00a0projects<\/a><\/span>, and much, much more.
