Anyone who uses Facebook is familiar with the message saying:
New Friend Request from ___. Confirm Not Now
You have to make a choice. You have to click either “Confirm” or “Not Now.” Do you know this person? Do you want to know more about him? Do you want to share your posts with him or her? Do you want to have a relationship with this person?
One of life’s greatest mysteries is that Jesus- the one and only Son of God- wants to have a “friendship” with… you. Or me of all people. Sound crazy? Well, check out some of Jesus’ own words…
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
Revelation 3:20…
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
(NIV- New International Version)
As we approach this Easter season, know that God loves you enough to send His Son to die for you. And through His Son, God wants to have a relationship with you. He wants you to see His page and He wants to read your posts and see your pictures.
God wants to be your friend. CONFIRM or IGNORE ???
