One of the long held Christmas traditions in our church is the Christmas Star Tree.  A special Christmas tree is in our narthex.  The tree is decorated with stars… lots of them.  Each  star on the Star Tree represents a child in need from our town, and gift suggestions for that child have been written on the star.  Donors can remove a star with the child’s name on it and purchase a gift in the amount of $20.00 for that child. Help Feed Pitman’s Poor! The Pitman food pantry is always in need of food donations, especially during the summer.  To help highlight this, our United Methodist Women’s group has been organizing a monthly drive for donations.  Donations are requested to be placed in the pantry shopping cart (located in the Fellowship Hall). Neighborhood Center Bus Destroyed by Fire!

As reported in the June/July edition of the Methodist Relay, the bus used by the Neighborhood center in Camden caught fire and was destroyed.  They are in the process of raising $100,000 to purchase a new bus.   PUMC supports the Neighborhood Center with our Missions fund. UMW to Collect Food for Pitman Pantry (7/20/14)

Pitman Pantry Collection on Sunday July 20… Thank you for your continued support of the Pitman Food Pantry in June.  Our next collection is Sunday, July 20.   We will be collecting cereal and jelly. The Pitman Pantry gives away 70-80 boxes of cereal each week so the need is great. This is especially true over the summer as school breakfast and lunch programs have ended.
