PUMC to Make Turbans for Cancer Patients (9/25/14)

Posted by on Sep 20, 2014 in EventAnnouncement, Knitting Ministries, Mission: Beyond our Community | 0 comments

Cancer itself is bad enough, but the treatment also frequently brings the indignity of hair loss.

On Thursday September 25, a group of ladies are going to do something about this by making turbans for cancer patients.  We will meet in the gathering room from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

The American Cancer Society makes these available to the patients at no cost.

This has been an ongoing project of the Pitman United Methodist Church for a number of years. If you would like to be a part of this, come and join us. There are no specific skills needed. If you can sew, cut or turn material, we’d love to have you there.

For more information, contact Linda Boltz.
