Missionaries Jim & Alice Vanderhoof to Visit PUMC! (4/15/18)

PUMC has always supported global missionaries, and we’ve built up a relationship with many of them over the years.  One of these missionary couple is the Vanderhoofs.  Jim and Alice have been serving in Kenya since 1984 and have visited PUMC many times.

We’ll have a chance to catch up with them on Sunday April 15 (both services).  Jim and Alice will report on what they’ve been doing and to witness to what the Lord has been doing through them.  After serving on the mission field since 1982, Jim and Alice have decided to remain in the US and to begin a new phase of their ministry.

Their mission field is now in the US, and they live in Waverly, N.Y.  They are Ministry Mobilizers; recruiting, training, encouraging, and promoting opportunities for service, both locally and worldwide.  Pray for them as they bring us a message that will equip us to bring the light of the gospel to Pitman; make healthy disciples here at PUMC; and become more engaged in fulfilling  the Great Commission.

Jesus’ final command, just before ascending to heaven, is given in Matthew 28:18-20.  It’s generally known as “The Great Commission“…

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Please plan to be here to welcome Jim and Alice Vanderhoof back to PUMC on Sunday April 15th.   You will be blessed!
